Running back David Montgomery recently gave a peek into his surprising past as a phenomenal high school quarterback during an appearance on Kay Adams ‘ show, Up & Adams .

Montgomery, who joined the Detroit Lions in 2023, was asked by Kay Adams if his current offensive coordinator, John Morton (“Johnny Mo”), knew about the legendary “lore” of Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls quarterback.

Montgomery, as subtle as ever, responded, “ I don’t think he does, just because I know I can throw it farther. But I don’t think he really knows much about it. But if you think about it, there are a lot of guys on our team who play quarterback who can throw the ball.”
