LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Laredo Public library is opening a brand-new space, which includes immersive experiences.
Earlier today, officials had a ribbon cutting for the library’s brand-new sensory room at the Joe A. Guerra Branch Library.
The room is intended to provide a calm and nurturing environment to support sensory development for people of all ages.
For many parents, the new addition will offer a sense of comfort, it can even become a home away from home. It’s a space where people can decompress, regulate and engage in sensory seeking behaviors in a very safe environment.
This sensory room was also created in collaboration with the City of Laredo Public Health Department.
