BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in finding a vehicle suspected to be involved in a hit-and-run crash with a motorcycle in late August.
The crash was reported on Aug. 31 around 9 p.m. in the 1700 block of University Avenue, near Pomona Street.
Police said the suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored four-door sedan, possibly an older model Chevrolet Malibu. After the crash, the front bumper broke and was left at the scene.
At the time of the crash, the vehicle failed to stop at a posted stop sign and collided with a motorcyclist. The driver then fled westbound and turned northbound on Haley Street.
