SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The future is uncertain for a Sioux City movie theater.

Wednesday, moviegoers found a notice taped to the doors of the ACX Promenade Cinema in downtown Sioux City. The doors to the building were also locked.

The notice, which was penned by an Arizona attorney representing the building’s landlord, said the building’s tenant had defaulted on its lease, and had failed to pay rent.

The notice also said, “the locks have been changed and the tenant is no longer permitted to enter or occupy the premises.”

One moviegoer KTIV spoke with said he had just seen a movie, in that theater Tuesday evening. And, the theater’s website continues to sell tickets to movie showings on Thursday.
