Breast cancer remains among the most common forms of cancer in women.
Medical professionals have said routine screenings are one of the most reliable ways to catch any issues in the earlier stages. Cancer is at its most treatable early on. "I would just say, mammograms are so important," said Director of Imaging Services at Raleigh General Hospital, Wendy Harrah. "One in eight women get breast cancer. So, early detection is the best protection against breast cancer."
