CHICAGO ( 25News Now ) - Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker unveiled a new six-year plan for the next Illinois infrastructure projects.

Pritzker said that the state now has a full-scale revitalization of its infrastructure systems in place. The infrastructure progress started back in 2019 due to the passing of the bipartisan $45 billion Rebuild Illinois bill.

He also announced the latest Illinois road map, which he said will be the largest road map in the state’s history.

In addition to the plan, $400 million will also go to local projects across all Illinois counties.

Pritzker said the main goal of these projects is to modernize infrastructure all over the state.
