LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Joseph Lawson has arrived to begin serving his 25-year sentence for his role in the disappearance and murder of Bardstown mother of five Crystal Rogers.

On Wednesday, October 1, Lawson was transferred from Nelson County Jail to Little Sandy Correctional Complex.

In July, Brooks Houck and Joseph Lawson were found guilty in the 2015 disappearance and presumed murder of Rogers. Their sentencing was supposed to be in late August, but was delayed due to ongoing health issues with Lawson.

A jury convicted Lawson of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence. He was sentenced to 20 years for conspiracy and five years for tampering with evidence.
