BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) - Twenty years ago, Lynn Maro ran the People's Law School as part of the Mahoning County Bar Association. Now that Maro is the county prosecutor, she has decided to resurrect the law school.

The first of five, two-hour sessions was held on Wednesday evening at Boardman Library. They will continue for the next four weeks -- starting at 5:30 p.m. -- all in Boardman.

Wednesday evening's lessons were about criminal prosecution and plea bargaining, along with misdemeanors and OVI.

"Then, next week, we're going to do a segment on human trafficking. We have a Grace Court that Judge Disalvo offers. She'll be speaking about that. We'll have someone from the task force speaking about the sting operations we see in the news a lot," Maro said.
