ESSEX, Vt. (WCAX) - A Vermont cidery places in the top five in a nationwide contest.

The Vermont Cider Lab in Essex Town ranked number four in USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Cidery 2025.

The top ten cideries are all in different states, with number one in Arizona.

The nominations were whittled down to the top 20 through a nationwide public vote, and the final winners were voted on by a panel of cider experts and USA Today editors.

Vermont Cider Lab’s owners say they were very excited to have stepped up to the competition.
