FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — Residents can get up close with some big rigs at the Foley Public Library's "Big Rigs @ the Library" event, according to a City of Foley news release.

The event is set for Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9-11 a.m. behind the library at 319 East Laurel Avenue.

The Foley Street Department is partnering with the library to put on the free community event that will feature heavy equipment like tractors, trackhoes, bucket trucks, and more. Attendees will also be able to watch live demonstrations.

Additionally, visitors can explore vehicles and equipment from the Foley Police and Fire departments. New this year is a helicopter.

Guests will can also enjoy yard games, a giant sand pile, live entertainment from a one-man band and treats from a coffee truck and Kona Ice.
