COLUMBIA - In June 2025, the median home price in Boone County rose by over nine percent compared to last year.
Over the last month, values increased over four percent.
In June, the typical median home price in Columbia was $355,000. This is $67,500 higher than the state median price in Missouri.
Columbia Board of Realtors President Elect Alice Leeper explained why housing prices have increased.
"Under $350,000 we have less inventory than what we do with houses above $350,000. That's just because the demand is a little bit higher at the lower prices and we haven't been able to keep up yet with the number of houses available."
Leeper said the values change month to month.
