SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

The Aftershock festival, the West Coast's largest rock festival, is set to begin at Discovery Park in Sacramento, with gates opening at 11 a.m. Thursday, and attendees are encouraged to use free transit options due to limited parking.

Adam Richards, general manager of Tipsy Putt, hosted the festival's official welcome party and plans to attend the four-day event.

"I actually will park downtown. I will scooter in, and then if I can luck into an Uber after the festival, great, if not, I'll normally just walk back downtown," Richards said.

Festivalgoers have several options for getting to and from Discovery Park.
