HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A costume contest is set to make a big splash on Oahu’s North Shore.

The fifth annual Turtle Bay Halloween Surf Off, presented by the Jamie O’Brien Surf Experience, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Ritz-Carlton Oahu, Turtle Bay, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Organizers said all ages and skill levels are invited to dress in their best costumes and compete for glory, laughs, and prizes.

“This event brings together everything we love — community, fun, creativity, and the ocean,” says Jamie O’Brien. “It’s not every day you see a pirate dropping in on a wave next to a taco. That’s the kind of Halloween wonder we’re all about and we’re psyched to keep the tradition going, while supporting our local scholastic surfers.”
