A Scottish city has been revealed to have the "most significant rising crime rate" in the country. Its year-on-year increase in crime severity was found to be almost nine per cent. ‌

On Monday, September 29, CCTV operator training provider Get Licensed shared a report of the safest and most dangerous cities in Britain. The experts compared crime rates across Scotland, England, and Wales to reveal where rates are rising and falling the most. ‌

According to Get Licensed, Edinburgh is the area of Scotland with the most significant rising crime rate. The Scottish capital also placed at number four on the Britain-wide list of the areas where crime rates are increasing the most. ‌

The experts found that the annual crime rate in Edinburgh is 72.8 per 1,000
