Eagle Rock -- Walk into Furniture Fosters on Eagle Rock Boulevard, and you’ll see a hammerspinet. If it’s your first glimpse of the hybrid of a harpsichord and a piano, that’s to be expected.

“Hammerspinets are so hard to come by,” said Shelby Griffiths, who, with her husband, Michael Chambers, runs the shop that specializes in selling restored vintage Danish furniture. “It’s really cool that we’re able to restore these instruments back to their former glory and give them an audience that maybe they wouldn’t have had.”
