ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A teacher at Apalachee High School has been “relieved of all duties” after allegedly threatening a student during class Wednesday, according to a message the principal sent to parents.
“Today, a student reported to our school administrators that a teacher made a threat toward a student during class,” Principal Jessica Rehberg wrote in the message, which Barrow County Schools shared with Atlanta News First.
Rehberg wrote that the teacher “has been relieved of all duties, and the matter has been referred to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office for investigation.”
Sheriff Jud Smith confirmed the school district asked his office to investigate the alleged threat, and that the teacher had been relieved of their duties.
