Glen Oaks Community College is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a free, community-wide event Oct. 4, according to a community announcement.
The festivities will kick off with the Affinity House “Stomping Out the Stigma” 5K Run/Walk at 9 a.m. near the campus ball fields. The event aims to raise awareness and support for local mental health initiatives in St. Joseph County. Participants can register on site.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., attendees can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities, including hayrides, a bounce house, kids’ games, food trucks and a car and tractor show. Prize giveaways and a special raffle for 60th anniversary merchandise will be held throughout the day.
