PHOENIX — A man was hospitalized Thursday after a shooting incident in Phoenix, police said.

Just after 7 a.m., officers were sent to a scene near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road for reports of a shooting. Police said officers found a man with at least one gunshot wound at the scene.

The man was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

Authorities have not released the name or condition of the victim. Detectives were on scene Thursday investigating the incident.
