GLOBE, Ariz. — A community meeting will be held Thursday night in Globe to update residents on the relief efforts taking place across Gila County following last week's destructive floods.

The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management is partnering with city and county officials to host a meeting at High Desert Middle School at 6 p.m. that will allow residents an opportunity to ask questions.

Cleanup efforts have been taking place across the Globe-Miami region over the past week after heavy rainfall flooded roads and damaged local buildings. Three people died as a result of the flooding.

Dozens of vehicles have been recovered across the region, and law enforcement agencies have been working to track down the owners of the cars. Crews are continuing to clear debris in areas most
