A 16-year-old from British Columbia has been charged after police recovered an estimated 20 grams of suspected crack-cocaine and more than $10,000 in cash on Sept. 26.

The RCMP say they received tips from the public about drugs being sold at a residence. When officers went to that home, the suspect reportedly attempt to flee through a window.

He was arrested and a search warrant was obtained to search the residence. That's when the cash and suspected drugs were found, the RCMP stated in an Oct. 2 news release.

The youth, who cannot be publicly identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and failure to comply with court-imposed
