The Canadian Football League is making some changes to the way that the game is played, with many of the changes being made to match the regulations of the United States’ National Football League.
The field is shrinking from 110 yards to 100 yards, matching the NFL. Additionally, end zones will be shrunk by 5 yards down to 15, which is still 50 per cent larger than the 10-yard end zones that the Americans play with.
Goal posts will be moving from the goal line to the back of the end zone, which also matches the NFL.
The 20 second play clock has been almost doubled in length to 35 seconds, as well as being reset automatically instead of when officials reset the ball.
The rouge has been altered so that teams will still receive a point if they are tackled with the ball in their own end zo
