NELSON COUNTY, Ky. — A missing hunter was recused in Nelson County late Wednesday night.
In a social media post, Nelson County Emergency Management said dispatchers received a call about the man around 8:20 p.m.
Nelson County Sheriffs’ deputies and officers with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife quickly arrived on scene and began a search near the Shady Lane area in Boston, Ky.
Due to the size of the area, officials said drone teams from Nelson County Emergency Management and Nelson County Fire were called to assist.
The Rolling Fork Fire Department’s UTV was also called in to help search on the ground.
Within 90 minutes, officials said drone pilots found the injured hunter roughly three-quarters of a mile off road. Search teams then began making their way to the hunter.
