LINCOLN, Neb. (Huskers.com) - Nebraska senior middle blocker Rebekah Allick was added to the AVCA National Player of the Year Watch List on Thursday, the AVCA announced.
Allick is one of 17 players being added mid-season to the initial list of 30 announced in July, which included fellow Huskers Andi Jackson, Harper Murray and Bergen Reilly.
Allick is off to a strong start in her final year as a Husker with 2.62 kills per set on .463 hitting with a team-high 1.22 blocks per set. Allick’s hitting percentage ranks first in the Big Ten and fourth nationally.
Allick now ranks fifth in career blocks at Nebraska in the rally scoring era with 460, which passed Sarah Pavan (459) last week.
The Player of the Year Watch List was compiled by the AVCA Division I Women’s Volleyball Awards Committee.
