MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A man has been indicted by a grand jury in connection with the stabbing of a family of three in Mesa last month.
Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced the indictment of Lowell Dorn, 23, on Thursday. Dorn is accused of going into a Mesa apartment and stabbing a woman and her two teenage daughters.
On the morning of Sept. 17, Dorn allegedly got into an apartment unit near Dobson and Broadway roads through an unlocked door, then attacked and stabbed a 16-year-old girl multiple times. Court documents say the mother of the girls attempted to stop Dorn by hitting him with a hammer, but he began stabbing her and her 18-year-old daughter.
