CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- From custom glasswork to high-speed trains, some of North Carolina’s most innovative manufacturers are in the spotlight as the NC Chamber announced the winners of its annual "Coolest Thing Made in NC" competition.
Right here in Charlotte, Carrier earned 3rd place in the Large Business Category for its high-tech chillers, which help keep everything from skyscrapers to sports arenas cool.
In Salisbury, a hometown favorite landed in the top five of the medium business category: Cheerwine, the beloved cherry soda that’s been bottled in the city since 1917, finished 4th.
