CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- After nearly six years of waiting, a NoDa restaurant owner finally knows when the men accused of killing his twin brother will go to trial.

Queen City News Anchor Robin Kanady spoke with David Brooks, owner of Brooks Sandwich House, about why he plans to close the restaurant while his family is in the courtroom.

Brooks Sandwich House has kept going, through three generations, serving burgers and hotdogs in NoDa since 1973.

“I’m at the same spot where my brother and I used to work every day, and I still expect to see him every day,” said David Brooks.

But David’s twin, Scott, the co-owner, is not there.

“My brother’s gone and someone’s going to have to speak for him,” said David.
