SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Happy Thursday, Utah! We're tracking mostly clear skies and above average temperatures to wrap up the work week. A deep trough of low pressure will swing overhead Friday afternoon into the weekend bringing much cooler weather and a good chance for more scattered showers & storms. Friday should start off mostly dry across the state but increase showers & storms first for the Wasatch Back, then spreading along the I-15 corridor Friday evening. This activity will likely impact those high school football games, along with the big BYU game in Provo Friday night. Be sure to grab the ponchos for any of your outside plans. High temperatures on Friday will warm back into the upper 70s to near 80 along the Wasatch Front. Highs will be in the mid 80s for SW Utah. This weekend
Sunshine and warm temperatures hang tough through the end of the week
