SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Hispanic Heritage Month is still going strong in Central Illinois, and the Hispanic Women of Springfield have something in store to celebrate the occasion.
The Hispanic Heritage Festival will take place from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Illinois State Museum in Springfield.
Hispanic Heritage Month emphasizes community and diversity, and the festival will highlight Latine culture, according to the Illinois State Museum's website .
This event is free, and all members of the community are welcome.
