ADAMS, New York (WWNY) - Adams has a plan to improve its downtown, and to fund it, it’s looking to the state.
The village is set to go after 2 pots of state money, one worth $4.5 million, and the other $10 million.
“Quality of life would be absolutely impacted,” said Mayor Kreg Davis.
One grant is called New York Forward. The other is the Downtown Revitalization Initiative award. Both aim to rejuvenate communities and transform neighborhoods. Though the village is applying for both grants, it would only be awarded one.
Davis says there’s a lot the village wants to do.
“We’re talking about a dog park, a walking park for your dogs, new walking, walkability for the village, an outlook in using the river that we have. It’s beautiful,” he said.
