PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - Police were on scene in the area of Pueblo Central High School on Thursday after officers say a man with a weapon was reported at an address near the school.
Pueblo police told 11 News the school went on lockdown as a precaution during the search, and a secure perimeter was put in place. When officers arrived, the man was no longer in the area, but police said they were still actively looking for him.
A spokesperson for Pueblo D60 said there was no threat to, or inside of, the school at any time. The school has resumed the normal schedule for the day.
As of 1:30 p.m., police said the school’s secure perimeter had been lifted.
11 News crews on scene reported seeing several parents on campus lined up to enter the school who appeared to be picking up their children.
