PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man who is accused of breaking windows at four local businesses and the Porterville City Hall was arrested, police said Thursday.

The 43-year-old man, Oscar Manfredis Garcia, was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

On Sept. 28, officers investigated five reports of vandalism within the Downtown Porterville area.

It was determined that the windows of four businesses, as well as the Porterville City Hall, were broken overnight by a suspect who threw rocks or objects through the windows.

Police said the four businesses and the city hall sustained a loss exceeding $8,000.

As officers and detectives continued with the investigation, they were able to identify Garcia as the suspect.
