Pittsburgh Steelers safety DeShon Elliott made his return to the field in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings after missing two games with a knee injury. Elliott made an immediate impact upon his return, picking off Carson Wentz in a Steelers win. On top of being a major contributor in a win, though, Elliott was also hit with a fine from the NFL, as the safety himself made known on his Instagram story.
The NFL fined Elliott for wearing a black towel during the game, which is a dress code violation (players are allowed to wear towels, but white towels only). Because of this, Elliott was fined $5,797, and he was not happy.
“Count your f**** days,” Elliott posted on his story. “Yall worried about the wrong things. Let’s fix things that actually mean something.”
