The City of Fort Saskatchewan will be collecting extra yard waste next week.

From October 6 to 10, garbage collectors will be picking up yard waste items such as grass, leaves, small twigs and branches, waste from fruit trees and garden trimmings.

The waste must be placed brown paper bags and placed for collection by 7 a.m. on collection day. Yard waste that is placed in plastic or biodegradable bags will not be collected.

If it is your cart collection week, the yard waste bags can be set out in addition to the carts.

The second Fall Extra Yard Waste collection week is the first full week of November, from November 3 to 7.
