The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department has identified three suspects who are accused of burglarizing the home of an elderly person in 2022. The crime occurred on County Road 509 near Kirbyville and the homeowner was 87-years-old.

Sheriff Chuck Havard said the front door was kicked in, the house was ransacked and the thieves stripped out the copper wiring from the air conditioner.

The three have been identified as Jeramia Castleberry, 40, of Jasper, Charles Chaneyworth, 62, of Frankston, and Donald Parrish, 52, of Kirbyville.

Castleberry is currently in state prison serving a 7 year sentence for Arson and Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle.

All three are being charged with Burglary of a Habitation and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
