A Thursday afternoon wildfire south of Jasper was difficult to reach for firefighters. It was reported at about 3:30 at the end of County Road 303.

Jasper firefighters arrived to find the blaze burning in a wooded area so they called for assistance from the Texas Forest Service.

There’s no word on what may have caused the fire.
