EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The future of two Rhode Island hospitals is up in the air as a nonprofit's deal to acquire them faces an issue with financing.
Boston Globe reporter Alexa Gagosz recently reported that The Centurion Foundation still hasn't secured the $165 million needed to purchase Fatima Hospital and Roger Williams Medical Center from Prospect Medical Holdings.
Gagosz joined 12 News at 4 Thursday to explain the impact this sale not going through could have on Rhode Islanders and what remaining options the state has.
