TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A 26-year-old man has been arrested more than a week after the killing of a bicyclist on The Loop near Wetmore and First in Tucson.

Police said the suspect, Michael Francisco, was spotted Wednesday near the Tohono Tadai Transit Center on Stone Avenue, just a few yards from the crime scene.

"I'm relieved to know that he's at least not on the streets able to do that to other people," said Paris Mercado, the daughter of Enrique "Kix" Mercado.

The arrest of Francisco has brought relief to the cycling community, following the murder of "Kix" on Sept. 23 behind a Walmart near Wetmore and First.
