HOUSTON (KIAH) — As the Houston Texans prepare for Sunday's game at Baltimore, everyone is waiting for the status of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Jackson, the NFL’s MVP in 2019 and 2023, did not practice for the second day in a row on Thursday and his availability for Sunday is in doubt. Jackson suffered a hamstring injury in Baltimore’s loss to Kansas City that dropped the Ravens to 1-3.
If Jackson is unable to play, then Cooper Rush would start at quarterback for Baltimore. The Texans faced Rush last year in a Monday night win over Dallas.
Jackson is not the only Raven that is dealing with injury issues. Linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring), tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle), fullback Patrick Ricard (calf) and cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey (calf) and Nate Wiggins (elbow) missed practice
