GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A Brown County committee is meeting on Thursday night, and changes to the Neville Public Museum are up for discussion.
There are real concerns about funding the museum into the future.
Two supervisors on the Brown County Board want the museum’s governing board and staff to explore options for creating more interactive children’s exhibits to increase the museum’s profitability.
The Brown County Education and Recreation Committee meeting started at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Two supervisors put a plan out there to help the museum make more money.
That would mean taking less financial support from brown county, ultimately saving taxpayers money.
Brown County owns the Neville Public Museum and provides about $1 million in funding per year.
