GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - With a grant from GBAPS Education Foundation and assistance from the Green Bay Parks Department in removing invasive species of plants, one teacher’s idea became reality for her students and the community to enjoy.

If you walk along the Red Smith Trail, you can read a book while connecting with nature.

There are 18 signposts along the trail, and each one holds a page spread, letting you read the story as you walk the trail.

The half-mile loop can be completed in as quickly as 10 to 15 minutes, but little learners are encouraged to take as much time as they’d like.
