The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that a pavement repair is planned for Friday, Oct. 3, on Centerville Road at Marietta Avenue (Route 23) in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County.

Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work will be in the southbound lane of Centerville Road approaching Marietta Avenue. There will be a lane restriction on Centerville Road between Bunny Drive and Marietta Avenue.

Signals at the Centerville Road/Marietta Drive intersection will be placed on flash with flaggers directing traffic through the intersection, a press release said.

There may be delays. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

Motorists are advised to use caution when driving through this area.
