SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and one local radio station is continuing their tradition of making a difference in Siouxland.

Q102 Radio held a donation drive on Thursday to collect bras for their 4th annual “Bras Across the Bridge” event set for October 17.

Every year, hundreds of donated bras are tied together and hoisted across the Morningside Avenue bridge over Highway 75.

Along with donating the bras to two Siouxland non-profits, the campaign aims to raise awareness and encourage people to get screened for breast cancer.
