SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A nonprofit organization that helps adults and children who deal with domestic violence held a vigil to honor victims.

Safe Place held the vigil at the Ho-Chunk Center Atrium on Thursday evening. This was in observance of October being National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The vigil honored Sarah Zoelle, who was killed in a domestic violence dispute back in 2023.
