MADISON (WKOW) — The Madison Police Department (MPD) confirms it is aware of an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation that was conducted in Madison on Thursday.
MPD spokesperson Korrie Rondorf tells 27 News that ICE conducted an operation at a residential address in the city, but did not specify where.
Rondorf says the police department became aware of the ICE activities after they were complete. MPD did not help ICE with the operation, according to Rondorf.
The police department referred questions about the operation to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). 27 News reached out to DHS Thursday night, but has not yet heard back.
