JACKSON COUNTY (WQOW) - An airplane landed at the Black River Falls Municipal Airport with its landing gear up around 2:30 Thursday afternoon.
The FAA in La Crosse called the Jackson County Sheriff's Office saying they were having a difficult time making contact with the pilot.
The Black River Falls Fire and Police Departments and other Jackson County EMS responded to the airport and found the pilot unharmed.
The plane had landed on its belly with its landing gear still up. The sheriff's office says it did not ignite or leak any fuel.
The runway at the airport will be out of service for at least 24 hours as they work to move the disabled plane.
