HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A golf tournament is taking place this weekend in Oxford to raise money to research metastatic breast cancer -- the only stage of breast cancer that is currently incurable.

Metastatic breast cancer is stage four breast cancer, meaning that the cancer has spread to other parts of the body and is no longer curable. Since 2021, PAR 4 THE CURE has raised nearly $400,000 to research the devastating disease.

This year's PAR 4 THE CURE event will take place at the Golf Club of Oxford Greens in Oxford at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 3. All proceeds from the event will go to the Cancer Couch Foundation and all donations are matched, with matched funds going to research at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

More information about the tournament can be found here.
