SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Major League Baseball's New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox continued one of the most storied rivalries in sports Thursday night with a win-or-go-home game in the American League Wild Card round.
News 8 was at Sliders Grill & Bar on Main Street in Southington, where fans of both teams cheered and talked a little trash to each other.
"Don't get me wrong, it's all love but I'm going to talk trash is the Sox win," one Boston fan at the bar said.
There was no love lost among the fans despite the historic rivalry.
"This is what sports is all about," Jimmy Craig, a Yankees fan, said. "This is a good time with good folks. I'm going to enjoy it, all we gotta do is win!
