HONOLULU (Island News) – An investigation is underway after a reportedly fatal officer-involved shooting occurred on Punchbowl and Beretania on Thursday morning.

An officer on scene confirmed with Island News that one man has died following a reported shooting in the area of The Queen's Medical Center. Police also told Island News that the officer was okay.

According to police there is no threat to the public at this time.

As a result of the incident police shut down Punchbowl Street in both directions at 10:34 a.m., but the south bound lanes were reopened at 12:22 p.m.

Punchbowl St., mauka bound, between S Beretania Street and Vineyard Boulevard were reopened at 1:11 p.m. in all directions.
