NANAKULI, Hawaii (Island News) – A house fire in Nanakuli was classified as incendiary by investigators with the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) after crews extinguished it on Thursday morning.
HFD responded to the single-story home on Farrington Hwy in Nanakuli at approximately 8:44 a.m. to find it involved in fire. HFD responded to an incident at the same address on Wednesday, but in a different and separate unit.
Firefighters brought the fire under control at 9:20 a.m. and fully extinguished it at 9:39 a.m.
No injuries were reported in this incident.
Investigators with HFD classified the cause of the incident to be incendiary, but the investigation remains ongoing as they determine damage estimates.
