FARGO — It has been 32 years to the day since the disappearance of 25-year-old Kevin Mahoney in Fargo.

The Dilworth man was last seen leaving a friend’s house in the Roosevelt School neighborhood. He would have turned 57 on Oct. 2, 1993. His disappearance remains one of Fargo’s longest-running missing persons cases.

For more than three decades, Tiffany Elsenpeter and her mother, Michele Elsenpeter, have put up flyers around Fargo and spoken out about Mahoney’s disappearance. Michele, Kevin Mahoney's sister, passed away this past May after a battle with lung cancer, but not before asking her daughter to continue fighting for her uncle.

"I just remember her looking at me, ‘You don’t give up on family. You don’t give up on family,’" Tiffany Elsenpeter said.
